Michael Gowell is the general manager and vice
president of the TeamMate line of business. He leads all aspects of the global
TeamMate operations and is responsible for the overall product strategy.
With more than 20 years of audit, audit methodology and audit management
software experience, Michael is a leading expert on audit technology and audit
management systems. As project director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Michael
founded TeamMate in 1993, an award-winning line of audit management software
solutions used by more than 90,000 internal auditors in more than 2,200
Prior to the acquisition of TeamMate by Wolters Kluwer
in 2007, Michael spent 22 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a CPA and audit
manager in the San Francisco office. He also spent two years as a manager in
the Audit Methodology department at the National Office of
PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.
He has personally implemented
TeamMate at over 300 corporations and is a frequent keynote speaker at
National industry conferences. Michael also is the host and founder of the
TeamMate User Forum – a two-day best practice seminar attended by over 700
